Get fit, have fun and push for better mental health.

3,249 push-ups

 5-28 June

The Push-Up Challenge is a free mental health and fitness event focused on pushing for better mental health for all Australians.

Participants complete 3,249 push-ups over 24 days, representing the 3,249 lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2022.

How it works

PUSH FOR BETTER MENTAL HEALTH

We'll give you daily push-up targets that relate to an important mental health statistic. Track your progress on the app and boost mental health awareness

GO SOLO OR JOIN A TEAM

Sign up solo or get your crew together - invite your mates, work, school, gym or sports club. The more the merrier. Super recruiters can even create a community.

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

You don't have to be a push-up pro. Alternatives like sit-ups, squats or tailored exercises are all welcome and you can aim for half the push-up target

Choose to fundraise and make a difference

Join the push for better and make a difference to mental health services across Australia by choosing to fundraise for our beneficiaries - Lifeline, headspace or The Push for Better Foundation.

Fundraising is optional but it's a great way to show support and get your family and friends on board in the push for better mental health.

Better physical and mental health

Better health and wellbeing for everyone. That’s what we’re about. We know that exercise can give your brain a boost and it's great to see our push-up community felt the same in 2023.
99% of participants said they felt fitter and stronger after completing The Push-Up Challenge.
97% also said their mood was improved.

Are you ready?

"It’s not just a good cause, but good for your health. It's your daily dose of exercise, and a good conversation-starter."
