3,249 push-ups. 5-28 June.

The Push-Up Challenge is a free mental health and fitness event focused on pushing for better mental health for all Australians. Participants complete 3,249 push-ups (or alternative exercises) over 24 days, representing the 3,249 lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2022.

The Challenge is well and truly underway, but you can still join in for the rest of the Challenge or register your interest for 2025:

The app is the easiest way to track your progress

Use our App to:
  • See your daily targets
  • Bank (aka log) your push-ups
  • See how your crew are going
  • Learn about mental health
  • Get fundraising tips

How it works

We'll give you daily push-up targets that relate to an important Mental Health Fact. You can track your daily progress and check out the facts on the app.

You don't have to be a push-up pro to participate. Substitute push-ups with sit-ups, squats or tailored exercises and you can aim for half the target.

Sign up solo or get a crew together. Invite your mates, work, school, gym or sports club. The more the merrier. Super recruiters can even create a Community.

How to get involved

There's still time to join in. It's free and simple to register. Simply click here and fill out a few details to be part of the challenge.

Spread the word far and wide. Share your fundraising page to raise funds for your chosen beneficiary and start a conversation about the Mental Health Facts to raise mental health awareness.

Download the app to check your daily push-up targets, log your push-ups and read the daily Mental Health Facts throughout the challenge. Jump on the app today for all the goods.

Fundraising is optional but it's a great way to show support and get your family and friends involved in the push for better mental health.

Level up your physical and mental health

Our mission is to push for better health and wellbeing for everyone. Research shows that exercise can improve our mood and physical health, and it’s great to see our push-up community felt the same in 2023.
99% of participants said they felt fitter and stronger after completing The Push-Up Challenge.
97% also said their mood was improved.

"It’s not just a good cause, but good for your health. It's your daily dose of exercise, and a good conversation-starter."

- Dean, past participant
