About My Challenge

It's that time of year again!
Over the last 5 years, I have completed a total of 16,064 pushups, and, thanks to so many amazing donors, we have managed to raise a total of $2,795 for mental health services in Australia.
This year, I'll be completing 3,307 push-ups in 24 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.
Why that many? Well, the 3,307 push-ups are to represent the 3,307 Aussies who lost their lives to suicide last year. Which is 3,307 too many. This challenge is to spread awareness, start conversations, and raise funds to do everything we can to reduce that number of our mates who are losing the battle to mental health.
This year, like last year, any donations I receive will go towards lifeline Mid Coast. Every 24 seconds, a person in Australia will reach out to Lifeline for help. For over 60 years, Lifeline has been connecting with Australians, offering free and confidential one-to-one crisis support for people who are feeling overwhelmed or having difficulty coping. Lifeline is available 24 hours a day to listen, without judgement, to any person in Australia who is feeling overwhelmed, experiencing crisis or longs to be heard.
I completely understand the current cost of living situation in our country is pretty ordinary, so there is absolutely no expectation for donations. The main goal of my challenge is to spread awareness, start conversations, and to encourage people that it is ok to not be ok, that is it ok to reach out for help if you need it.

The funds we raise will help Lifeline Mid Coast continue to provide crucial 24/7 Crisis Support as well as Suicide Prevention & Postvention services. All funds stay local, directly helping those in our community.
