About My Challenge
I'm completing 3,307 push-ups in 24 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health and suicide in Australia.
I lost my nephew Jack to suicide last November, he was only 13. I still haven't come to terms with it, and it stays with me everyday. A little boy shouldn’t have to experience this. No family should have to experience this. No parents should. There are no words.
Mental Health is a huge part of my life. My Dad committed suicide, his Mum did too, my Aunties Dad's sisters also struggled. I struggle daily at the moment. I'm sure many others around me do as well. Mental health is a disease. And being unaware and uneducated on the issue, can lead to the worst of situations.
Jack passed on my Mum's passing anniversary and it gives me peace knowing that she has him.
Awareness and understanding needs to be paramount in Australia. We need to push to do better.
I'm pushing this year for my nephew Jack, for my Brother Matt, his wife Grace and my little girls Evie and Emma because they need their Mum here!

Supporting headspace Kiama
headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds.
Each year, headspace helps thousands of young people access vital support through our headspace centres in over 157 communities across Australia, our online and phone counselling services, our vocational services, and our presence in schools.
The support headspace receives from the community helps us achieve our vision - that all young Australians are supported to be mentally healthy and engaged in their communities.
