Let's remove the stigma associated with poor mental health and encourage our kids to talk about it.

I'm completing 3,307 push-ups in 24 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.

After losing my eldest son Wade to suicide last year, I want to do my bit to try and make mental health awareness a major priority in society today, and remove the stigma that is often associated with it. I believe that we need to introduce mental health education and mindfulness and coping strategies in our school curriculums so that our kids and future generations will be more accepting of poor mental health and how to deal with it.

I'd love for anyone who reads this bio, to take it upon themselves to reach out and check in with any of their family or friends who they think might be struggling for whatever reason. Because by just asking if someone is doing ok is a great way to show them that they have support and that they are loved and it will help save lives.

After Wade's passing I have also been struggling with poor mental health, and l know that I've been lucky to have a great support network who have taken it upon themselves to regularly call and see how I am doing. If we can all take the time to do this small act, I can guarantee that we will help save lives.

Can't wait to get thru this challenge and hopefully help Lifeline in Gippsland out with some funds .
