Why I’m Doing This Challenge

Hey, if you don’t know me already, my name is Lachlan. This June, I have decided to take part in The Push-Up Challenge to help raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.

The challenge is to complete a goal of 3,307 push-ups across 24 days, representing the 3,307 lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2024. I’m doing this to support better mental health, start more conversations, and show that no one has to struggle alone.

To make it even more meaningful, I’ll also be shaving my head. It’s a small sacrifice from me, but hopefully it helps encourage more people to donate and support the cause.

Any donation, big or small, would mean a lot. Thank you so much for supporting me and helping push for better mental health.

Supporting headspace

headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services for 12-25 year olds.

Each year, headspace helps thousands of young people access vital support through our headspace centres in over 175 communities across Australia, our online and phone counselling services, our vocational services, and our presence in schools.

The support headspace receives from the community helps us achieve our vision - that all young Australians are supported to be mentally healthy and engaged in their communities.
