About My Challenge

My name is Kayla and while starting off with the 3,307 goal, I'm actually aiming to complete 1,654 pushups or push up equivalents.
This is merely because I dont do any proper physical exercise outside of this, so any amount of physical activity feels daunting. As of Day 1, I physically couldn't manage a singular proper push-up after 79/100 and had to swap to elevated pushups after struggling to get to 81.

As someone who has experienced the struggles not looking after your mental health can cause for a long period of time, I ask everyone - even if they aren't keen on doing physical activity, to at least spend the next 24 days reflecting on what it is this challenge means and represents. Talk to your friends and people you may not have caught up with in a while, make the effort to connect with people while you still have the chance to. It's easy to say, but it's true that the change you want to see starts with the actions you take towards seeing it happen. Look after yourself, even if you're unproductive, even if you don't have the energy, even if you feel a certain way, think you don't deserve it, simply don't want to, or you think you are but don't realise you actually require more. It's ok to need things, it's ok to want.

eat well, drink water, do exercise, limit your screen time, socialise with people you care about, sleep for a minimum of 8 hours, avoid procrastination, and remember to take breaks when you need them
