About My Challenge

Why I’m Pushing for Men’s Mental Health

I’m taking on this physical challenge to shine a light on a critical issue. Too often, men suffer in silence, and the statistics are a stark reminder of why we need to talk:

  • 75% of all suicide deaths in Australia are men—that is roughly 6 men lost every single day [psychology.org.au].
  • 1 in 2 Australian men will experience a mental health problem in their lifetime [aihw.gov.au].
  • Nearly 25% of Aussie blokes admit they never talk about mental health with their friends [comparethemarket.com.au].

Physical health and mental health go hand in hand. Every push-up I do represents a conversation we need to have. Please donate if you can, or simply take a moment today to check in on a mate. It could save a life.
