What do footy, trust falls and The Push-Up Challenge have in common? They’re all better when we team up.

It’s a fact: Push-upperers who participate as part of a Team are more likely to finish the Challenge and raise more funds than those who go solo.

If you’re not on a Team yet, we’d be stoked to have you on one of ours! You'll get tips and encouragement to keep you motivated and be part of achieving a big team goal.

CHOOSE YOUR TEAM

Everyone pushes for different reasons. We’ve created three Teams so you can push with a like-minded crew and hear from the Team Captain who's most motivating for you.

Who will you choose?

MIND, BODY, PUSH-UPS

Team Captain: Corey (Content Guru, Bike Bar Coach & Personal Trainer)

Team motto:
Here to build stronger bodies and minds by putting in the work, one push at a time.

Top tip for the Challenge: Don’t overthink it—just start! Showing up each day is what counts, and once you get going it’ll seem less daunting.

Favourite mental fitness activity: Getting on the early morning grind – whether it’s for a sauna sesh, a solid workout, or some reflective me-time time. It’s about starting the day with intention.

Reason for pushing: We all deal with mental health challenges from time-to-time. This Challenge is a way to improve our mental fitness so we’re better prepared for challenges that come our way, raise some funds for those who are struggling, and remind ourselves that we’re not alone in the tough stuff.

SUPPORTING THE PUSH FOR BETTER FOUNDATION

HEADSPACE X POPPY

Team Captain: Poppy Hay (CrossFit & LSKD Athlete)

Team motto: Push together, stronger together

Top tip for the Challenge: Don’t stress about smashing all the reps at once break them up throughout the day, stay consistent and just have some fun as a team

Favourite mental fitness activity: Moving my body, listening to a podcast, and spending time at home with the people who recharge me most. Those simple moments really help me reset both mentally and physically so I can be the best version of me.

Reason for participating: I’m passionate about the impact movement can have on mental health. Moving your body, challenging yourself and being part of a supportive community can make such a positive difference and I love that The Push-Up Challenge brings all of that together for an important cause

LIFELINE LEGENDS

Team Captain: Johnathan (Lifeline Ambassador)

Team motto: Lifeline Legends — every rep remembers a life.

Top tip for the Challenge: Remember this challenge is for everyone, not just fitness fanatics. You don’t have to do every push-up as prescribed — aim for half the target if needed or swap push-ups for alternatives like squats, sit-ups, lunges or even push-up against a wall while standing. Anything goes.

Favourite mental fitness activity: Getting outdoors for a walk, run, or coffee with friends and family. Fresh air, movement, and connection are some of the best ways to reset and recharge mentally.

Reason for pushing: We’ll complete 3,307 push-ups in 24 days — representing the 3,307 lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2024. We’re taking part to support Lifeline Australia, raise awareness for mental health, and help raise vital funds that keep Lifeline’s crisis support services running. Every call answered, text replied to, and person supported takes resources and trained volunteers. Each push is a reminder of a real person lost too soon.
