Mental struggle and suicide
I'm completing 3,307 push-ups in 24 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.
My ex Lisa of 8 years took her own life in 2024 leaving behind her partner and 3 children. I never got to say goodbye nor did I get to attend her funeral due to lack of communication.
A decade earlier my own father took two attempts to end his own life which for all our sakes both failed. Today he is a different man and with therapy and support truly shows what can be achieved by talking about our problems.
I personally have had suicidal thoughts throughout the years. Silence in those situations is truly a killer.
The ones that are left behind suffer the most and are left to question "why?" I would like to see suicide become a rarity rather than a commonality.
