About My Challenge

This year, I’m completing 3,307 sit-ups in 24 days as part of The Push-Up Challenge, representing the 3,307 lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2024.

Mental health matters in every workplace, but it has a very real connection to the rail industry. Rail workers can be exposed to long hours, high-risk environments, isolation, fatigue, trauma, and the ongoing impact of incidents on and around the network.

TrackSAFE Foundation continues to do important work across the rail industry to prevent suicide, reduce harm on the rail network, and improve the wellbeing of rail employees. Their work is a reminder that mental health is not just a personal issue. It is a workplace issue, an industry issue, and a community issue.

For me, this challenge is about raising awareness, starting conversations, and helping support better mental health outcomes across Australia.

You can show your support by making a tax-deductible donation to my page.

Every dollar helps fund much-needed mental health services and initiatives.

Supporting headspace

headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services for 12-25 year olds.

Each year, headspace helps thousands of young people access vital support through our headspace centres in over 175 communities across Australia, our online and phone counselling services, our vocational services, and our presence in schools.

The support headspace receives from the community helps us achieve our vision - that all young Australians are supported to be mentally healthy and engaged in their communities.
