MY WHY? Honestly!
1. An average of 9 Aussies taking their own life everyday in 2023 and we are not outraged? What the actual F#%k!
2. Let's start having the hard conversations
3. Let's start just keeping on showing up for that mate or colleague even if its confronting for us personally to sit with their pain
4. Let's start to keep checking on "the strong ones". The people who never ask for help even though they are having a rough trot.
5. Let's ask people how they are going and actually stop and pause and bloody listen! What does your gut say? Are they just paying you lip service?

Experience shows us it is through connection that we can find hope. With Australians struggling with cost-of-living pressures, increasing inflation, housing insecurity, global instability, and recovery after extreme weather events, our crisis support services have remained in high demand with our voice and text services receiving up to 4,000 contacts a day from help seekers. Our partnership with The Push Up Challenge plays a vital role in raising funds to support the delivery of suicide prevention and crisis support services at a time where we have never been needed more.
