About Our Challenge
Hey, my name is Mitch Burney.
I'm a dad, a husband, a social services professional and a jiu-jitsu athlete and I understand just how important recreation and physical activity is to mental health and wellbeing
This June, some of my mates and I are taking on The Push-Up Challenge and completing a heap of push-ups between 3-26 June to raise funds and awareness for mental health.
We are raising funds specifically for Lifeline Gippsland as I am a born and raised Gippslander that is passionate about the mental health and wellbeing of my community and I love the work Lifeline Gippsland does in the region.

Lifeline Gippsland is proud to be taking part once again in this year’s The Push-Up Challenge. This initiative creates a powerful opportunity for our centre to connect with communities across Gippsland and Cardinia. In our highly rural region, where support can often be limited, The Push-Up Challenge helps us spark meaningful conversations and strengthen connections across the area.
Funds raised through this year’s challenge will directly support our team of Crisis Supporters in delivering the vital work of the 13 11 14 network. Your contributions also help us expand our reach through training, community services, and engagement activities throughout Gippsland.
