Getting ripped for mental health!
I'm completing 3,307 push-ups in 24 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.
Last year I did the half-challenge, a lesson in boundaries and #AchievableGoals. This year I'm going full monty!
The best thing about this challenge is developing friendships across teams at work. It did wonders for my own mental health working for a national organisation with interstate colleagues. Our team name puns on the FAIR data principles (our quest for tech infrastructure to suppor Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable research data). It's not about achieving maximum fitness or losing weight. For me flexing muscles is about finding a sense of belonging and letting go of shame about not "fitting in".
