About My Challenge
At 52 I’ve come to the terrifying realisation that upper body strength doesn’t just “stay there” waiting for you. Apparently if you ignore it long enough it quietly packs its bags and leaves forever.
So in a moment of questionable judgement, I’ve signed up to do 1,654 push ups in 24 days for mental health awareness and fundraising in Australia.
This is partly about supporting a great cause and partly about proving to myself I can still lower myself to the ground and get back up without making old-man noises.
I’ve been on a weight loss journey for a while now and this feels like the next step, rebuilding a bit of strength, discipline and consistency before my body fully commits to retirement mode.
