Karen v 3307 Sit Ups
I’ve somehow found myself taking part in The Push-Up Challenge and attempting 3,307 push-ups in 24 days.
I'm no Craig Ferguson but trying to do my bit for mental health.
The 3,307 push-ups represent the 3,307 Australians who died by suicide in 2024.
I’m doing this as part of Team Horizontal Heroes to raise money for Lifeline and support better mental health across Australia.
My challenge currently involves:
Trying to live up to the example set by Craig Ferguson who walked across America raising £1 million for mental health in Scotland.
Learning how to do a proper push-up through coaching by my teenage son
Trying to raise more than the person currently ahead of me on the team leaderboard
Learning how to use social media so I can actually get some donations.
My fundraising target was $200, then it became $500, then $750, then $1k and now it's $1560 so o can get top of the leaderboard!
Any donation, big or small, is genuinely appreciated.
