About My Challenge
I’m completing 3,307 push ups in 24 days.
That number is not random. It represents the number of lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2024. Behind that number are people, families, friends, colleagues, and communities forever changed.
This is my sixth year taking part in the challenge, and it remains deeply personal to me. Mental health challenges have affected people I care about, and they have affected me too. I live with periods of extreme anxiety that can feel debilitating, isolating, and hard to explain from the outside.
That is why this challenge matters to me. It is about raising awareness, starting conversations, and supporting mental health and suicide prevention services across Australia.

Once again Lifeline Melbourne is proud to be part of The Push-Up Challenge, raising awareness for mental health and the impact of suicide in our communities.
Our dedicated volunteers answer over 30,000 calls to Lifeline’s 13 11 14 crisis line each year—providing vital support to people in their darkest moments. Funds raised through The Push-Up Challenge will help us train more Crisis Supporters and expand our education and training programs, giving individuals the skills to recognise and respond to those in crisis—whether that’s a friend, family member, workmate, colleague and anyone across the community.
Lifeline Melbourne has been part of the community providing vital support for over 55 years, and we’re committed to being here for generations to come.
