A cold rainy Monday morning

It was a cold rainy Monday morning. I was standing at the St Leonards bus stop, shivering like a popsicle, waiting for the 114 or 144 bus that could bring me to school. The world was glum, as I saw heads down around me, watching the raindrops patter into the lifeless bricks that lay beneath us.

In my despair, I started to walk around, looking for some source of light in the darkness around me. There had to be something.

That's when I saw it.

There in the greyness of the urban landscape, lay a single gym, with its yellow fluorescent lights radiating around it like a star. There in the greyness of the urban landscape, some hope shined out of the Pandara's box around me.

There in the greyness of the urban landscape, lay a man. A man, who wasn't being glum like everyone else, but was happy. Spirits high. Confidence maxxed. And I knew the reason why.

He was doing push ups.

Dedicated to: the push-up man, who inspired me to pursue positive mental health. for good.
