About My Challenge
Mental illness in our industry in Australia has long been a silent and challenging problem that has had a profound impact on individuals, their families, friends and colleagues.
Our industry that provides many of us and our community so much, is sadly overrepresented with mental health illness and suicide.
Fulton Hogan is passionate about supporting mental wellbeing and we want to make a positive difference!
I have captained our FH Pushers team since 2021 and we are going again this year - in June, we'll be completing 3,307 push-ups each in 24 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.
Why 3,307? This is the number of people who took their own lives in 2024.....tragic.

Supporting Lifeline WA
Lifeline WA & The Push-Up Challenge: Supporting Mental Health Across WA
Western Australia is vast, covering nearly one-third of the country, with remote communities, resource sector workers, and FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) employees facing unique mental health challenges.
At least one-third of FIFO workers experience high levels of burnout and psychological distress – impacting not only individuals but also their families and their community. The isolation, high-pressure environments, and extended shifts can take a toll on mental wellbeing.
Thanks to The Push-Up Challenge, funds raised will support Lifeline WA’s critical 24/7/365 crisis services – including phone, text, and chat – ensuring that no one has to face their darkest moments alone. In 2026, our goal is to be the person ready to have a conversation that helps someone feel heard, supported, and understood.
