Elise Ginger

Hi! Im Elise :)

I'm completing 1,654 push-ups in 24 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.

All throughout my teenage years, I struggled with my mental health in ways that often felt overwhelming and difficult to explain. While many people see adolescence as a time of growth and self-discovery, for me it was also marked by periods of anxiety, low mood, and constant self-doubt. Simple tasks sometimes felt exhausting, and there were days when getting through school, maintaining friendships, or staying motivated required far more effort than others realized.

One of the hardest aspects of these struggles was feeling isolated. Even when surrounded by friends and family, I often felt misunderstood or unable to express what I was experiencing. I worried about being judged or dismissed, which made it difficult to ask for help. As a result, I frequently tried to manage my emotions on my own, which sometimes intensified the challenges I was facing.

Despite these difficulties, my experiences taught me valuable lessons about resilience, self-awareness, and the importance of seeking support. Over time, im still learning  healthier ways to cope with stress, became more open about my feelings, and developed a greater understanding of the importance of mental wellbeing. While the journey was not easy, it helped shape me into a more empathetic and determined person.

Looking back, I recognize that struggling with mental health throughout my teens was a significant part of my life, but it does not define who I am.

Mental Health has deeply impacted my life. I want to show that YOU are STRONG than your demons and that YOU can do ANYTHING. and most importantly you’re not alone🤍

Dedicated to: My dad, my cousin and everyone thats supported me through these times❤️

Supporting Lifeline

Lifeline is a national charity providing Australians who are experiencing emotional distress access to 24-hour crisis support, suicide prevention, mental health, and domestic and family violence prevention services.

Lifeline exists to ensure that no person in Australia has to face their toughest moments alone.

Our experience has shown us that it is through connection that we can find hope. That’s why we are available 24 hours a day to listen without judgement to anyone in Australia who is feeling overwhelmed, distressed, or experiencing a crisis. Each year, Lifeline receives over 1.3 million contacts to our crisis support services.
