Im completing this challenge for my late father

After losing my dear dad, something changed in me. I began to truly understand how deeply men need support—mentally, physically, emotionally—and how often we go without it. I saw how many people struggle quietly, and how hard it can be to reach out for help. The support might be out there, but it doesn’t always feel easy or safe to access.

So I’ve decided to take on this challenge—not just for myself, but for my mates, for my dad, and for every man out there who feels like he has to fight his battles in silence.

I’ve honoured this challenge to my dear father. I’m doing it for every man who feels like speaking up is a weakness. The truth is, that’s a vicious and dangerous stigma. If more people felt safe and supported enough to open up, I might still have my dad today. It’s not weak to speak—it’s brave, and it’s life-saving.

To anyone reading this who’s struggling right now: please know you’re not alone in this battle. I see you. I’m here for you. And so are so many others. Even if it’s just a chat about what’s on your mind—reach out. You don’t have to carry it all by yourself.

This challenge involves completing 3,214 push-ups (or other variations of exercise) over 23 days. That number represents each life lost to suicide in a single year. Each rep is a reminder of a life—a person—who mattered.

I’ve attempted this challenge before but never made it the whole way. This time, I’ve gathered a team of mates to keep each other accountable and push through it together. We’re in it physically and mentally—not just for ourselves, but for something bigger.

This year hasn’t been easy. I’ve dealt with injuries, sickness, and days where I’ve felt completely drained—but I’ve kept going. Because this challenge means something. Because too many people can’t just “push through” the way we wish they could. This is for them. For the ones who didn’t make it, and for the ones who still might—if they know they’re not alone.

If you’re able to, I encourage you to learn more about this challenge, what it stands for, and why it matters. And if you’re in a position to donate, even a small contribution could make a world of difference to someone who needs it.

Let’s move. Let’s talk. Let’s make a difference—together
