About My Challenge
At BB’s Soul Kitchen, we believe good food brings people together — but real mateship means showing up for each other when life gets heavy too.
This year, our team, our mates, and some of our incredible customers are taking on The Push-Up Challenge together to help raise awareness and support for mental health across Australia.
Over 24 days, we’ll be completing 3,307 push-ups — representing the number of lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2024.
But for us, this goes far beyond push-ups.
This is about reminding people, especially men, that struggling doesn’t make you weak. Keeping everything bottled up doesn’t make you stronger. And no one should feel like they have to carry life alone.
Too many people stay silent because they feel pressure to “be tough”, keep moving, and handle everything on their own. We want to help change that — even if it starts with one conversation, one check-in, or one mate reaching out to another.
At BB’s Soul Kitchen, we want to stand for community, compassion, and having each other’s backs. A place where people can walk in, feel welcome, feel heard, and know they’re not alone.
If you’re doing it tough, reach out. To your mate. To your family. To us. To anyone.
Strength isn’t pretending everything’s fine.
Strength is speaking up when it feels like you least want to speak.
Strength is talking about the hardest things.
Strength is backing your mates, asking for help, and pushing through together.
We push up together.
We rise together.
If you’d like to support the challenge, every donation helps fund mental health services and initiatives that genuinely make a difference.
