Batika Sapkota

🌟~About My Challenge~🌟

Hey there 😁! It's Batika, and I'll be completing 1,607 push-ups(and other calisthenic exercises) from the 4th-27th of June (23 days) to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.

I know this may not seem like a lot compared to the 3,214 push-ups that others are doing, but I feel as though this is a realistic goal for myself and it's the thought that counts! 😉

I've never quite been an athletic and sporty person and all my life, I've sort of struggled to be good in these things - I've always felt like I simply just don't have that natural ability to execute these exercises and perform well in certain sports. For instance, in Year 1, when all the girls in my class could do backbends, carthwheels and handstands (I still can't do any of these lol), I could barely perform a somersault, or more a forward roll. So I started gymnastics for a term or so, and I don't think I got anything out of that. 😅

However that's in the past :). I'm changing my mindset now and I'm super open to challenges like these where not only can I improve my fitness and learn new things like how to do a push up, but advocate for serious issues like mental health that deserve some awareness. ✊

I'm hoping that with these funds raised, mental health conditions and issues are better understood and educated and that can make a real difference in our community for those in need. 🫶

You can show your support by making a tax-deductible donation to my page. ✌️
Every dollar helps mental health outcomes in Australia by funding much-needed mental health services and initiatives.

Oh! And I'm also doing this to prove that 8.15 is definitely the bombdiggity-est mentor group in the Year 8 Cohort.

Take care! 😉 #pushforbetter ~Batika

P.S. Shoutout to Mrs Pautz! ❤️
