Aldous Killjoy

Life begins at almost 40

My name is Aldous, I am 39 and I'm completing 3,307 push-ups in 24 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia. I have Borderline Personality Disorder and have had long struggles with Depression and Anxiety. At the start of this year my life imploded. I lost everything and I attempted suicide. I'm lucky enough to have a second chance and I know very well just how important it is for everyone to have access to mental health care and support.
Every dollar helps #pushforbetter mental health outcomes in Australia by funding much-needed mental health services and initiatives.

Supporting Lifeline Melbourne VIC

Once again Lifeline Melbourne is proud to be part of The Push-Up Challenge, raising awareness for mental health and the impact of suicide in our communities.

Our dedicated volunteers answer over 30,000 calls to Lifeline’s 13 11 14 crisis line each year—providing vital support to people in their darkest moments. Funds raised through The Push-Up Challenge will help us train more Crisis Supporters and expand our education and training programs, giving individuals the skills to recognise and respond to those in crisis—whether that’s a friend, family member, workmate, colleague and anyone across the community.

Lifeline Melbourne has been part of the community providing vital support for over 55 years, and we’re committed to being here for generations to come.

Every push-up powers a life-saving conversation.
