What’s New at The Push-Up Challenge in 2023

10 Mar 2023

We’re set to push in 2023 bigger, better and sweatier than ever. While our core mission of raising awareness, smashing the stigma and supporting mental health remains rock-solid, we’re introducing a few exciting tweaks and turns this year. Are you ready, mate? Scroll on for what’s new:

1. You can fundraise via Facebook

Fundraising is a big part of the impact we have here at The Push-Up Challenge. We’ve raised over $26 million to support key mental health organisations such as Lifeline and Movember since the first-ever Push-Up Challenge in 2017. And, if you’re keen as mustard to get on board by contributing to the cause and fundraising while you push, there’s good news. In 2023, fundraising is even easier, as we’ve added the option to set up a Facebook Fundraiser page to help you do just that.

Setting up a Facebook Fundraiser is simple and takes just a few seconds.

2. Cool new merch

We’ve found that one of the best ways to spread the word about your involvement in The Push-Up Challenge, and give your mates, family and Doris down the street the nudge to donate to your efforts, minus the hard ask, is to get about in The Push-Up Challenge gear. Check out this year’s tees.

3. Two targets to aim for

You have two target options to pick from this year. Choose the full option and smash out 3,144 push-ups, or take the half option to complete a (still epic) 1572 push-ups. Whatever the number, the good feels you’ll get from taking part in the name of better mental health are off the charts.

4. Training starts... NOW

You asked, we listened. In 2023, you can get into serious training mode as soon as you’ve registered and downloaded the app, by banking push-ups on the app in practise mode before the event officially starts on 1 June. Ready, set... PUSH!

The Push-Up Challenge 2023 runs from 1-23 June. Participants will complete 3,144 push-ups, representing the number of Australians who lost their lives to suicide in 2021. Head to our Home page to find out more or Register for the event.
