Veterans push for better.
Last year I completed the Push Up Challenge with a 15kg plate carrier.
I had survived an attempt to check out early myself and began the challenge because it was something constructive rather than forming a destructive habit that I could do to reflect on mental health. What I learned at a period of extreme isolation was that I wasn't alone.
Since last year's challenge I have learned that I will be a father to a little daughter later this year and I have never felt more alive.
I owe that to the report I received through sharing my story.
This year we have assembled a team of current and ex serving members, who have lost mates to mental health struggles where they felt they had no other option.
