St Andrews Push Up Challenge Initiative

This June, our Spirit Captains are taking the initiative to lead our school in the Push-Up Challenge to raise funds and awareness for mental health. We have chosen to support the mental health organisation headspace, and our school fundraising goal is $2,000. The Push-Up Challenge is an annual Australian mental health and fitness event, running from 3–26 June 2026, where participants complete 3,307 push-ups in 24 days to represent the lives lost to suicide in Australia each year. By taking part, we are helping to start important conversations about mental health and showing support for those who may be struggling.

You can show your support by joining our school team and getting involved in the challenge. In your homeroom, you will sign up in groups of 4–5 students. Each week, your group will be set a certain number of push-ups to complete, and these can be done in your spare time or at school, as long as they are recorded correctly.

Every push-up and every dollar raised helps improve mental health outcomes for young people in Australia through the headspace organisation. The homeroom with the highest total number of push-ups at the end of the challenge will win a pizza party.
