Prestin 4 Poppy
An 8yo NSW South Coast grandson is currently completing 70 push-ups daily over 23 days in memory of his Poppy. You can tune in to his daily videos on Facebook & Instagram socials, under Lee Patterson.
The picture above is how young Prestin was, only 1.5yo, when 6 months after this photograph he lost his Poppy.
My Dad, John Patterson struggled with his health both physically, emotionally then mentally after surgery complications after being late diagnosed with advanced IV Prostate Cancer.
My enthusiastic son didnt hesitate to get on board to participate for me and his Poppy in heaven, so his Mummy can continue to raise awareness about the importance of reaching out to as many sources of help. Following my 2023 Shine A Light walk, I previously raised hundreds of dollars for Lifeline for mental health support in Australia, to ensure there's someone on the other end of the line in times of desperate need, and now in 2025 after other ventures throughout my healing process, we've embarked on The Push-Up Challenge as a team.
