About My Challenge

I’m very proud (if not slightly nervous) to be taking part in The Push-Up Challenge to help raise awareness and support for mental health across Australia.

Over 24 days, I’ll be completing 3,307 push-ups — stepping up (or should I say pushing up!) to support a cause that is deeply personal to me.

Like many Aussies, I have faced my own mental health struggles. I’ve also had close friends who have suffered deeply, and tragically, some who are no longer with us. These experiences have shown me just how important it is that we continue breaking the stigma around mental health.

Through my establishment of a local men’s darts club, Varsity Lakes Local Legends - -  created to support men’s mental health -  I’ve become passionate about creating connection, mateship, and open conversations around men’s mental health. I strongly believe we all have the ability to overcome mental barriers in our daily lives when we support each other and know we are not alone.
