My Mental Health Journey

For most of my life, I was told I had depression and anxiety. It wasn’t until my late 20s that I was properly diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Everything started to make more sense after that. My life had felt like chaos until I was finally given the right tools and support.

Growing up, I often felt misunderstood, especially during the intense highs and lows I experienced as a teen. But with the right diagnosis, coping mechanisms, and ongoing support, I’ve found a stability I never thought was possible.

I’m taking on The Push-Up Challenge to raise funds for headspace because I know firsthand how powerful the right mental health support can be. Early intervention can change lives, it definitely changed mine 💚

Supporting headspace National

headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds.

Each year, headspace helps thousands of young people access vital support through our headspace centres in over 157 communities across Australia, our online and phone counselling services, our vocational services, and our presence in schools.

The support headspace receives from the community helps us achieve our vision - that all young Australians are supported to be mentally healthy and engaged in their communities.
