About My Challenge

In 2022 I lost my best mate Reggie to suicide. It still feels wrong to say, and when I talk about it - it feels as though I’m telling a story that isn’t ours. Reggie passing away from Suicide clouded the person he was. He was the vibe guy, the funny guy, the caring guy, he was my guy. I need to constantly remind myself there was light before this dark and fucked up ending.

I still think about him everyday, and go over every aspect of his life. Trying to come up with some kind of solution that could’ve changed the outcome. But there’s no answer or solution now, there’s only moving on and trying my best to be there for the people around me.

This is my 3rd year participating in the push up challenge. I love the challenge for forcing conversations to be had around suicide and the everlasting effects it has on friends and family. This challenge lets me channel grief into something good, and i'd like to think Reggie would be proud of me.
