About Our Challenge
Anyone who’s worked in construction, mining, energy, or FIFO life knows how quickly chaos can become normal. Long swings, pressure, fatigue, isolation, and the expectation to just keep pushing forward can take a toll — even when no one talks about it.
Life can feel messy. Work can be demanding. Schedules unrelenting. Behind the jokes, the banter, and the “she’ll be right” attitude and “livin’ the dream” taglines, there are real people carrying real pressure.
From that reality, Mind Over Mayhem team was created.
This challenge is about more than push-ups. It’s about starting conversations, checking in on our mates, and reminding people that mental health matters just as much as physical health. Real strength isn’t staying silent — it’s speaking up and supporting each other when things get tough.
Many of us have seen firsthand how mental health struggles affect individuals, families, and workplaces. Some of us have lived through it ourselves. That’s why this challenge means so much to us.
The Push-Up Challenge gives us a chance to raise awareness, support mental health services, and encourage conversations that might not otherwise happen.
If you’re struggling, talk to someone.
If your mate seems off, check in.
We stand firm. We hold the line. We look out for our own.
Because tough doesn’t mean alone.
