About My Challenge
Hello friends,
Through various circles and over many years I've seen the devastating impact mental health can have on life and lives of connected family & friends.
Mental Health to me is so unique and can effect individuals in many ways with consequence possibly being catestrophic.
I'm no expert and am not preaching. But I have decided to take on a challenge to raise some money for a cause that is important to me.
I'm doing 3,214 push-ups in 23 days as part of The Push-Up Challenge to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia. This target represents the 3,214 people who died by suicide in Australia in 2023 (the most recent stats).
My focus is to be a role model for my kids, show up for them everyday and support something that impacts us all.

With Australians struggling with cost-of-living pressures, increasing inflation, housing insecurity, global instability, and recovery after extreme weather events, our crisis support services have remained in high demand with our voice and text services receiving up to 4,000 contacts a day from help seekers. Our partnership with The Push Up Challenge plays a vital role in raising funds to support the delivery of suicide prevention and crisis support services at a time where we have never been needed more.
