About My Challenge

I'm completing 3,307 push-ups in 24 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia. 
To some it might sound like a fitness challenge, a number, a target a test but to me, it means more then that. 

If you know me, you know right now I'm fighting my own battles with mental health. The kind of battles that don't always show on the outside. You can't still turn up to work, still laugh with your mates, still get the job done while quietly carrying pressure, stress, exhaustion, loneliness or pain that nobody else sees. 

This is reality to most people in the mining industry. Too many workers know what it feels like to struggle in silence, and too many families know what its like to loose someone to those struggles.

There will be days during this challenge where my body is sore and my mind tells me to stop. But thats part of the reason im doing it. Because mental health battles are exhausting too. 

3,307 push ups in 24 days is tough.

So I'll keep pushing for myself, my family, for my mates and for every person in the mining industry fighting battles nobody else can see. 

I am hoping to help people understand strength isn't about staying silent, Strength is about reaching out when you need support.
