About My Challenge

10 years ago I was diagnosed with BPD.
I ignored it. Dismissed it. Told myself I was fine.

Then 4 months ago, I was diagnosed again. This time, I was finally in a healthy enough place to stop running from it and start understanding it.

Looking back, it explains a lot.
Failed relationships. A marriage that fell apart because I didn’t understand myself or the damage I was causing. Multiple run-ins with police. Hitting a point where I ended up in rehab at 23. Years of feeling like something was “off” while trying to convince myself and everyone else that it wasn’t.

BPD doesn’t just affect you. It affects everyone around you too.

For a long time, I thought I was just broken, angry, impulsive, difficult, too much, or impossible to understand. The reality is I was dealing with something I never properly accepted or treated.

This challenge is something I’m doing by myself because, honestly, that’s how life with BPD can feel sometimes. But I’m also doing it because I know there are other people silently fighting the same battle.

I’m not posting this for sympathy.
I’m posting it because pretending everything was fine nearly ruined my life.

If sharing this helps even one person feel less alone, or encourages someone to finally seek help, then it’s worth it.
