About My Challenge
I'm completing 3,307 push-ups in 24 days to honour the 3,307 lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2024. All to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.
Every year we lose far to many to mental health and we can never do enough to raise awareness and help those who are struggling.
Mental health struggles have touched far too many.
In 2021 we lost Scott Sarson to mental health. Scott was an absolute pillar of Waverley Rugby club serving as our Director of Rugby. He was a kind warm man who made everyone feel welcome and as an expat who knew nobody he made me feel at home at Waverley.
I am doing this challenge to not just raise money but also raise awareness of an illness that takes its toll on far too many.
You can show your support by making a tax-deductible donation to my page.
Every dollar helps #pushforbetter mental health outcomes in Australia by funding much-needed mental health services and initiatives.
Dedicated to: Scott Sarson
Supporting Lifeline Bondi NSW
Lifeline Eastern Suburbs - Bondi is one of the beneficiaries of this year’s The Push-Up Challenge. Together, Lifeline and The Push-Up Challenge, aim to raise awareness about mental health and the impact of suicide on Australians.
Funds raised will enable Lifeline Bondi to continue providing their critical 24/7 crisis support and suicide prevention services, answer more help seeker contacts, and ensure any person in Australia who needs support knows where and how to find it.
