Early Support Changes Lives
I’m taking part in The Push‑Up Challenge to support youth mental health, even though exercise isn’t exactly my favourite thing😅 I’ve always believed that supporting people early, when mental health challenges first appear, gives them the best chance to build knowledge, confidence, and tools they can carry forward for life. Early support is effective support.
Through my work at headspace, I see what’s possible when young people feel connected, supported, and not alone. Accessing help can be empowering, not only improving individual lives but strengthening communities as a whole. Funds raised through this challenge help make that support more accessible and more visible, so seeking help becomes normal, not rare. Every donation contributes directly to our headspace centre in Orange, creating better mental health outcomes for young people in our community.
Supporting headspace Orange
headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds.
Each year, headspace helps thousands of young people access vital support through our headspace centres in over 157 communities across Australia, our online and phone counselling services, our vocational services, and our presence in schools.
The support headspace receives from the community helps us achieve our vision - that all young Australians are supported to be mentally healthy and engaged in their communities.
