About My Challenge

I'm completing 3,214 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.

Life is pretty sweet at the moment, but it hasn't always been so. I have a rap sheet of a variety of diagnoses I've accumulated over the years. All up, I've spent around 2 years of my life in various inpatient contexts. But I'm one of the lucky ones.

Recovery is a messy, living thing, but through luck, hard work and memes, today I'm well on my way to my goal of working as a mental health clinician.

However, many people don't have the support networks, access and privilege that I have had in getting the help they need. Stigma is often described as worse than symptoms, through the unfair access to services based on geography and socio-economic status, people are not getting what they need, and some don't make it.

You can show your support by making a tax-deductible donation to my page.

Every dollar helps #pushforbetter mental health outcomes in Australia by funding much-needed mental health services and initiatives.

Supporting Lifeline Newcastle & Hunter NSW

Lifeline Hunter is one of the beneficiaries of this year’s The Push-Up Challenge. Together, Lifeline and The Push-Up Challenge, aim to raise awareness about mental health and the impact of suicide on Australians.

Funds raised will enable Lifeline Hunter to continue providing their critical 24/7 crisis support and suicide prevention services, answer more help seeker contacts, and ensure any person in Australia who needs support knows where and how to find it.
