For Lieutenant Matty Huet
Last year, our A Squadron, 1/15 RNSWL family lost a good mate. Lieutenant Matthew Huet was a young bloke with his whole life ahead of him. A promising young cavalry officer, an intelligent and persevering young man, just an all round good bloke. Last year, we lost Matt to a decision that maybe he thought was a way out of whatever challenges he might have been facing, whether for years, months, weeks or even that day.
Unfortunately, this outcome touches too many in today’s society. There’s always one more simple chat or quick check-in you can have or you can do with your mate, family, colleague or teammate that might just be a fleeting moment you or they can see a breakthrough through the shit or a path to something a little bit better.
From June 4, I'm completing 3,214 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.
You can show your support by making a tax-deductible donation to my page.
Every dollar helps #pushforbetter mental health outcomes in Australia by funding much-needed mental health services and initiatives.
Dedicated to: Lieutenant Matthew Huet
Supporting Lifeline

Lifeline exists to ensure no person in Australia has to face their toughest moments alone.
Our crisis support services are available 24/7 to listen, without judgement, to any person in Australia who is feeling overwhelmed, experiencing crisis or longs to be heard.
Experience shows us it is through connection that we can find hope. With Australians struggling with cost-of-living pressures, increasing inflation, housing insecurity, global instability, and recovery after extreme weather events, our crisis support services have remained in high demand with our voice and text services receiving up to 4,000 contacts a day from help seekers. Our partnership with The Push Up Challenge plays a vital role in raising funds to support the delivery of suicide prevention and crisis support services at a time where we have never been needed more.
Thank you for supporting Lifeline. Your fundraising is helping to save lives.
