The reality ofnlife is that tjings wont always go the way we would like and try as we might we don’t bounce back immediately. I’ve never spent too much time considering my own mental health but so much has changed its now front and centre of my life priorities.
Getting fit physically is one of the best ways to maintain and ameliorate mental health. All the evidence suggests that regular weight bearing exercise improves symptoms of anxiety and depression, wards off dementia and cognitive decline. It gives an immediate rush of endorphins and makes you feel good about yourself!
I’m completing 3,214 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia. This year I am going it alone.
