About My Challenge

Me and the team at TOP GOLF Gold Coast are doing up to 3,214 push-ups individually in 23 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia

In Australia, a significant portion of the population experiences mental health challenges. Approximately 43.7% (8.6 million) of Australians aged 16-85 have experienced a mental disorder at some point in their life. One in five (21.4% or 4.2 million) have experienced a 12-month mental disorder. Anxiety is the most common group of 12-month mental disorders, affecting 16.8% of this age group. Young people aged 16-24 are particularly affected, with almost two in five experiencing a 12-month mental disorder

I also personally am diagnosed with multiple mental disorders that can make life difficult at times such as severe anxiety and depression, ADHD, body dysmorphia and image issues that led to an ED and PTSD from some pretty traumatic events in life.

Though these disorders are there… the push up challenge is a perfect example of finding ways to push through the tough times and find resilience. It will always get better. So let’s push for better !
