About My #PushForBetter Challenge

I'm completing 3,214 push-ups in 23 days to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia. 

The number of push ups represents the number of individuals who have lost their life due to suicide in 2023 (most recent stats) 

This will be my third year participating in this challenge. It tests individuals mental and physical abilities while spreading awareness for an important cause. 

All money raised goes straight to my chosen beneficiary, Lifeline. This helps contribute to funding their face-to-face and digital support services. 
On average every 30 seconds a individual in Australia reaches out to Lifeline for suicide prevention support, each phone call made to Lifeline costs them on average $39. 
Lifeline are open 24hours for individuals who need support and to ensure that no Australian faces their darkest moments alone! 
Previous years of the push up challenge has allowed Lifeline to support over 400,000 Australians. 

Every dollar helps #pushforbetter mental health outcomes in Australia by funding much-needed mental health services and initiatives, such as Lifeline. 
Donations through the 'push for better mental health' ensure that Lifelines critical support services are available to Australians anytime, anywhere!

Lifeline exists to ensure no person in Australia has to face their toughest moments alone.
Our crisis support services are available 24/7 to listen, without judgement, to any person in Australia who is feeling overwhelmed, experiencing crisis or longs to be heard.

Experience shows us it is through connection that we can find hope. With Australians struggling with cost-of-living pressures, increasing inflation, housing insecurity, global instability, and recovery after extreme weather events, our crisis support services have remained in high demand with our voice and text services receiving up to 4,000 contacts a day from help seekers. Our partnership with The Push Up Challenge plays a vital role in raising funds to support the delivery of suicide prevention and crisis support services at a time where we have never been needed more.
