If push-ups aren't your thing you can gift yourself time to prioritise your wellbeing. Take 15mins to disconnect from screens. Read, meditate or go for a walk in nature.
Practice self compassion and explore simple acts of kindness. Share a compliment, offer specific help, pay it forward, lend a listening ear, donate items, let someone merge etc.
🧠 The neurochemistry of kindness:
When you perform a selfless act the brain releases a potent mix of feel good chemicals (dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin and endorphins). This process is often referred to as the “helper’s high,” creating a sense of wellbeing for both giver and receiver.
Research shows that engaging in acts of kindness can also help individuals with anxiety or depression take their minds off their own symptoms. (I found this helpful).
In addition, what might seem like a small kind gesture could have a greater impact than you might think 🙏
