About Our Challenge
This June, our Clontarf staff will be taking part in the Push-Up Challenge as a way of leading from the front and setting the standard for the young men in our Academies.
At Clontarf, we know that actions speak louder than words. By stepping up to this challenge, our staff are demonstrating the importance of looking after both physical and mental health, while modelling discipline, resilience, and consistency in their everyday habits. It’s about showing our boys what it looks like to commit to something, push through when it gets tough, and support your mates along the way.
While the challenge centres around fitness, its deeper purpose is to spark conversations around mental health and wellbeing, something we are passionate about fostering within our Academy environment.
Through this, we hope to reinforce a simple message to our young men: positive habits, strong mindset, and looking out for one another starts with the example we set.
Supporting headspace
headspace is Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention mental health services for 12-25 year olds.
Each year, headspace helps thousands of young people access vital support through our headspace centres in over 175 communities across Australia, our online and phone counselling services, our vocational services, and our presence in schools.
The support headspace receives from the community helps us achieve our vision - that all young Australians are supported to be mentally healthy and engaged in their communities.
