About My Challenge
This year, I’m taking on the Push-Up Challenge—completing 3,214 push-ups in 23 days—to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.
That number represents the lives lost to suicide in Australia in one year. Every push-up is a reminder of how important it is to talk about mental health, fund crucial support services, and push for better outcomes.
This challenge means a lot to me. I’ve faced my own mental health struggles, and I know many of my friends and family have too. This is my second year doing the challenge because I truly believe physical activity plays a huge role in feeling better—mentally and physically. Whether I’m moving with friends or on my own, it’s what helps me keep showing up each day.
And I’ll be honest—I’m not someone who’s naturally comfortable with push-ups, and doing over 3,000 of them is definitely a challenge. But that’s the beauty of it. You can take part your way—whether it’s with jumping jacks, step-ups, wall sits, or any other form of movement. Personally, as someone with a passion for the creative arts, I love coming up with fun and unique exercise alternatives that keep me motivated and engaged.
If you can, I’d really appreciate your support. Donations are tax-deductible and go toward funding vital mental health initiatives across Australia.
