Bushies pushing for better mental health.
This June, The Bushie Pushies are taking on The Push-Up Challenge, completing a heap of push-ups from 3–26 June to raise funds and awareness for mental health.
As bush firefighters, we know that looking after each other matters. Firefighters are often there on some of the worst days in people’s lives, supporting communities through bushfires, storms, accidents, and emergencies. That work can leave a mark, not only on firefighters, but also on their families, friends, fellow brigade members, and the people in our communities who are impacted by those events.
This challenge is our way of doing something positive, having a laugh, getting a few sore arms, and helping push the conversation around mental health forward.
