About Our Challenge

From June 3rd to June 26th, Rob and Leonie will be attempting the slightly ridiculous challenge of completing 3,307 push ups — one for every life lost to suicide in Australia in 2024.
 
Our arms may never forgive us, but it’s for a cause that matters.
 
Whether we realise it or not, most of us know someone who struggles with mental health challenges. By doing and sharing challenges like this, we hope to keep conversations going, raise awareness, and maybe even encourage someone to reach out for support when they need it most.
 
Any donations will go directly to Lifeline Australia, helping provide support to Aussies doing it tough. If you want to join Rob and Leonie in this challenge, send them a message and you can become a part of their team.
 
With the blessing of Lesley, Adrian, and Siobhan, we’re dedicating this challenge to Luke — a genuinely wonderful person who lived a big life and should have had much more of it ahead of him.
 
If this challenge helps even one person feel less alone, or encourages them to seek help, every sore shoulder will be worth it.

Supporting Lifeline WA

Lifeline WA & The Push-Up Challenge: Supporting Mental Health Across WA

Western Australia is vast, covering nearly one-third of the country, with remote communities, resource sector workers, and FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) employees facing unique mental health challenges.

At least one-third of FIFO workers experience high levels of burnout and psychological distress – impacting not only individuals but also their families and their community. The isolation, high-pressure environments, and extended shifts can take a toll on mental wellbeing.

Thanks to The Push-Up Challenge, funds raised will support Lifeline WA’s critical 24/7/365 crisis services – including phone, text, and chat – ensuring that no one has to face their darkest moments alone. In 2026, our goal is to be the person ready to have a conversation that helps someone feel heard, supported, and understood.

By taking part in The Push-Up Challenge, you’re helping Lifeline WA provide life-saving support across our vast state. Every push-up counts. Every conversation matters.
