Our Pushup Story
This June, SA SES volunteers in Mount Gambier and supporters are taking on The Push-Up Challenge, completing a heap of push-ups between 3–26 June to raise vital funds and awareness for mental health.
Our members put themselves on the line for the South Australian community during floods, storms, rescues, and emergencies, alongside our other emergency service partners. Behind the uniform, mental health matters just as much as physical strength, and the demanding nature of emergency service work can take a significant toll.
You can support Lifeline South East SA by making a tax‑deductible donation or by joining the challenge and taking part in the challenge. Every push-up and every dollar helps strengthen mental health support for first responders and our community, helping to build resilience across the regions we serve.
Together, let’s push for better mental health outcomes for those who are always there when South Australia needs help most. 💙🚨
Supporting Lifeline South East SA
Lifeline South East is one of the beneficiaries of this year’s The Push-Up Challenge. Together, Lifeline and The Push-Up Challenge, aim to raise awareness about mental health and the impact of suicide on Australians.
Funds raised will enable Lifeline to continue providing their critical 24/7 crisis support and suicide prevention services, answer more help seeker contacts, and ensure any person in Australia who needs support knows where and how to find it.
