About Our Challenge

My name is Jackson Darcy Powell and I’m taking on 3,307 push-ups in ONE DAY on the 6th of June for the Push For Better Foundation.

But this is bigger than just push-ups.

This is about building a community. A real one. A place where people feel seen, supported and understood no matter what battles they’re fighting behind closed doors.

On my 18th birthday, I found out I had brain cancer.

A few months later in May, I was rushed into surgery for a craniotomy where doctors removed part of my right frontal lobe. A tumour roughly the size of a golf ball.

From the outside, I tried to be the strong one. I smiled, laughed and acted like I was okay because I didn’t want people worrying about me. But the truth is, deep down, I was struggling more than I let anyone see.

Fear. Anger. Isolation.
The feeling that your entire life can change overnight.

There were moments where I felt completely lost.

What got me through was the people around me. My girlfriend, my family and my friends. The people who checked in on me. The people who stayed. The people who reminded me I wasn’t alone even when my own mind was telling me otherwise.

Not everyone has that.

Some people are fighting silent battles completely alone.
Some people don’t feel like they can speak up.
And some people never make it through the other side.

That breaks me.

So this challenge isn’t just about raising money. It’s about creating something meaningful out of the worst period of my life. I want to build a community where people support each other like family even if they’ve never met before.

A community where checking in on your mates matters.
Where people feel comfortable opening up.
Where strength isn’t pretending you’re okay.
And where nobody feels like they have to fight alone.

Every single person who donates, shares this or follows this journey becomes part of that family.

I’ll be pushing my body through 3,307 push-ups in one day but there are people out there fighting mental battles every single day of their lives. This challenge is for them.

My goal is to raise $10,000 for the Push For Better Foundation and hopefully help save lives in the process.

If my story connects with you in any way, I’m asking you to please donate or share this page. No amount is too small.

You never truly know what someone is carrying behind their smile.

Let’s build something bigger than ourselves together.
