#LifelineBundaberg - Let's do this Bundaberg, let's raise mental health awareness and help fund calls into Lifeline. Together we can team up to help prevent suicide.

Hello Bundaberg, 

Join us in raising awareness for mental health support services by signing up to join our #LifelineBundabergCommunity. Your participation is invaluable and greatly appreciated. Thank you so very much for supporting our local Lifeline Bundaberg Community. :)

• It costs $39 to fund a call into Lifeline. Last year our community raised $3073 which equates to funding 78 calls into Lifeline, this year with your help we aim to more than double that, by raising $7500, which is the amount it costs to train and support a volunteer Lifeline crisis supporter for a year. Together, we can raise awareness and funds to support those in need of Lifeline services and also support our volunteers. 

• Lifeline Australia believes that suicide is preventable. Anyone having thoughts of suicide please reach out for support anytime 24/7 by calling Lifeline 13 11 14. 

• Sadly during 2022 there were 3,249 lives reported as lost to suicide. The Push-Up Challenge has been created to raise awareness of the impact of suicide. To honour those with lived experience of suicide challenges or grief and loss to suicide please help us to complete as many rounds as possible of PushUps/Squats/Tricep Dips/Bicep Curls/Wall Presses/Circuits/Cycling/Zen Meditation/you pick your PUSH-UP challenge adventure!!! :)

• Join our local Lifeline Bundaberg Community as the individual legend that you are or grab a few buddies together to form a legendary team and JOIN our Lifeline Bundaberg Community to smash out this mental health awareness and fitness challenge, together we can do this, from 5th to 28th June 2024. 
• Please do not feel pressure to donate or do push-ups if that is not suitable for you. The aim of The Push Up Challenge is to increase awareness of mental health support services and help to prevent suicide. By joining up or spreading the word you may help to support others in getting the support they may need, which might help to save their life or your own. Please take care of you too as we team up to support others.

Lifeline Bundaberg Community

In June, our Lifeline Bundaberg Community is taking part in The Push-Up Challenge. We are going to help shine the spotlight on the number of lives lost to suicide in 2022 and raise awareness of mental health. You can create a team in this Community, join a team or support someone who is taking part. Help us push for better mental health.

Lifeline Bundaberg has answered telephone crisis support calls since 26 October 1980. 

Across Lifeline Australia we answer around a million calls for support every year into 13 11 14.

Please help us to raise awareness and funds to support Lifeline and mental health in Australia by completing 3,249 push-ups in 24 days.

Lives lost to suicide is devastating. Help us to make a difference in lowering the number of lives lost to suicide by supporting Lifeline in its vision of an Australia free of suicide.
